Effective date: 19 Sept 2026 · Version: 1.1
Applies to: KidCenter Beta Service
1. About These Terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the KidCenter beta service ("KidCenter", "Service", "we", "us" or "our").
By registering for, accessing or using KidCenter, you agree to these Terms.
KidCenter is currently being provided as a limited beta service to a small group of invited users. The Service, its features and its supporting technology may change as we learn from beta usage and continue development.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility and Parent/Guardian Responsibility
KidCenter is intended for use by parents or legal guardians in relation to children in their care.
You must be at least 18 years old to use KidCenter.
When you provide information about a child, you confirm that you are the child's parent, legal guardian, or otherwise authorised to provide and manage that information for the purposes of using KidCenter.
You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide is accurate and that your use of KidCenter complies with applicable laws and regulations.
3. Beta Service
KidCenter is currently provided as a beta service.
During the beta:
- some features may be incomplete or may change;
- the Service may occasionally be unavailable or behave unexpectedly;
- AI-generated responses may contain errors or omissions;
- features may be added, modified, suspended or removed;
- information and recommendations may change as the Service is improved; and
- we may make changes to the technology, infrastructure and third-party services supporting KidCenter.
The beta is intended to help us evaluate and improve the Service before a broader launch.
You should not rely on KidCenter as the sole source of information for decisions concerning a child's health, safety or wellbeing.
4. Not Medical Advice
KidCenter is a parenting support and information service. It is not a medical service and does not replace a qualified doctor, paediatrician, healthcare professional or other appropriately qualified professional.
Information provided by KidCenter is intended to help parents understand situations, consider practical next steps and identify when professional advice may be appropriate.
KidCenter does not diagnose medical conditions and does not prescribe medicines or treatments.
You remain responsible for decisions concerning your child's health and care.
If you are concerned about your child's health, or if your child appears seriously unwell or there is an emergency, seek appropriate medical attention immediately.
5. Emergency Situations
KidCenter is not an emergency service.
Do not rely on KidCenter where a child may require immediate medical attention.
Examples include, but are not limited to:
- difficulty breathing or severe breathing problems;
- unconsciousness or inability to wake the child;
- seizures;
- severe bleeding;
- suspected poisoning or medication overdose;
- serious injury;
- severe allergic reaction; or
- any situation where you believe the child may be in immediate danger.
In such situations, contact an appropriate emergency service or seek immediate medical attention.
6. AI-Enabled Features
Certain KidCenter features use artificial intelligence ("AI") to provide information, organise information, identify patterns or assist with particular features.
AI-generated information is probabilistic and may be incomplete, inaccurate or unsuitable for a particular situation. AI output should therefore be treated as supportive information rather than professional medical advice.
6.1 External AI Services
Some KidCenter features may use external AI services to process information provided through the Service, including information relating to a child's development, health, symptoms, routines or wellbeing.
These external services are used to support particular features of KidCenter and may change as the Service develops.
6.2 De-identification
Where appropriate, KidCenter takes reasonable technical steps to reduce direct identifying information before certain information is sent to external AI services.
Depending on the feature, this may include removing or replacing information such as names, exact dates, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, identification numbers and other direct identifiers.
However, de-identified or pseudonymised information may still relate to a particular child and should not be understood as completely anonymous.
6.3 Information Processed by AI Services
AI processing may include information relevant to the particular feature being used, such as:
- symptoms and observations;
- feeding, sleep or behavioural information;
- development information;
- health-related information;
- relevant information previously recorded in KidCenter;
- questions and conversations with KidCenter; and
- other information necessary to provide the relevant feature.
KidCenter seeks to limit the information shared with an external AI service to information relevant to the feature being used.
6.4 Processing Outside India
Depending on the technology provider and infrastructure used for a particular feature, information may be processed or stored outside India.
The technology providers, infrastructure and processing arrangements used by KidCenter may change as the Service develops.
Further information about how personal information is handled is provided in the KidCenter Privacy Policy.
6.5 AI Training
KidCenter does not provide information to an external AI service for the purpose of intentionally training a general AI model as part of the KidCenter feature.
However, because external technology providers may have their own service, security and operational processes, KidCenter does not make broader representations about provider-side processing beyond the arrangements applicable to the particular services used by KidCenter.
6.6 Evolution of AI Services
As KidCenter develops, we may change AI service providers, models, processing arrangements or technical safeguards.
Where appropriate, we will seek to maintain or improve the privacy and security protections applicable to information processed through these services.
7. Photos, Images and Documents
Certain KidCenter features allow you to upload photographs or other images or documents.
You should only upload information that is relevant to the feature you are using and that you are authorised to provide.
7.1 AI-Assisted Image Processing
Certain image-based features may use AI services to read or interpret information contained in an uploaded image.
For example, a feature may allow an uploaded document or image to be processed to help populate information in KidCenter.
AI interpretation of an image may be inaccurate. You are responsible for reviewing information generated from an image before relying on or saving it.
7.2 User Choice
Where KidCenter provides a choice between AI-assisted processing and manual entry, you may choose whether to use the AI-assisted option.
If you choose manual entry, the uploaded image will not be submitted to the AI service for that feature's AI-based interpretation.
7.3 Sensitive Information
You should avoid uploading photographs or documents containing information that is unrelated to the KidCenter feature being used.
Where practical, avoid including unnecessary identifying information in photographs or documents.
8. Privacy and Personal Information
KidCenter may collect and process information that you provide when using the Service.
This may include information relating to:
- you as the parent or guardian;
- your child or children;
- health and wellbeing;
- symptoms and observations;
- development and milestones;
- sleep, feeding and routines;
- medical records or medication information that you choose to enter;
- photographs or other uploaded material; and
- information concerning your use of the Service.
Because information about a child may include personal and health-related information, you should provide only information that is relevant and necessary for the feature you are using.
8.1 Authority to Provide Information
By providing information relating to a child, you confirm that you are authorised to provide and manage that information for the purposes of using KidCenter.
8.2 Third-Party Technology Providers
Depending on the features you use, certain information may be processed by third-party technology providers supporting functions such as:
- hosting and infrastructure;
- authentication;
- communications;
- storage;
- analytics;
- AI-enabled functionality; and
- other technical services necessary to operate KidCenter.
8.3 Data Minimisation
KidCenter seeks to limit the information shared with third-party services to what is reasonably necessary for the relevant function.
Where technically appropriate, direct identifiers are removed or reduced before information is shared with external AI services.
8.4 Processing Outside India
Some service providers and infrastructure used by KidCenter may process or store information outside India.
The applicable locations and service providers may change as KidCenter develops.
8.5 Security
KidCenter uses reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or loss.
No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security, and you should use reasonable care when providing information through the Service.
8.6 Privacy Policy
Further information about the categories of information collected, purposes of processing, use of service providers, data retention and other privacy practices is provided in the KidCenter Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy forms part of these Terms.
8.7 Questions and Requests
You may contact KidCenter using the contact details provided in the Privacy Policy regarding questions, concerns or requests relating to your personal information or information relating to a child.
8A. Beta Data Practices
KidCenter is currently operating as a limited beta.
During the beta, we are continuing to test and improve our technology, data-handling processes and safeguards.
Accordingly:
- certain information provided through KidCenter may be processed by external technology and AI service providers;
- KidCenter is designed to minimise the sharing of direct identifiers with external AI services;
- de-identified information may still contain information relating to a child's health, development, symptoms, routines or wellbeing;
- certain processing or storage may occur outside India depending on the technology provider and infrastructure used;
- you should use reasonable discretion when entering information and provide only information relevant to the feature being used; and
- KidCenter's technology, service providers, privacy controls and data-handling practices may evolve as the product develops.
As KidCenter moves beyond beta, we expect to further strengthen and formalise our data governance, privacy and information-handling practices.
9. User Account and Access
Where an account is required, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity carried out through your account.
You should notify KidCenter if you believe that your account has been accessed without your authorisation.
You should not share your account credentials with another person.
KidCenter may suspend or terminate access where necessary to protect the Service, its users or the security of information.
10. Accuracy of Information Provided by Users
You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of information that you enter into KidCenter.
AI-generated information and automatically extracted information should be reviewed before being relied upon or treated as part of a child's record.
In particular, information extracted from photographs, prescriptions, vaccination documents or other uploaded material may contain errors.
11. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use KidCenter for unlawful purposes;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or another user's account;
- interfere with the operation or security of the Service;
- knowingly upload malicious code or harmful material;
- misuse the Service to harm a child or another person; or
- use KidCenter to provide medical or professional services to others.
You must not use KidCenter as a substitute for appropriate professional medical care.
12. Child Safety
KidCenter is designed to support parents and guardians.
KidCenter does not replace parental judgement, supervision or professional care.
Parents and guardians remain responsible for the safety and wellbeing of their children.
If information provided to KidCenter indicates a potentially urgent situation, KidCenter may advise the user to seek professional or emergency assistance.
13. Intellectual Property
The KidCenter name, branding, software, design, content and other materials provided by KidCenter are owned by or licensed to KidCenter, unless otherwise stated.
You may use the Service for its intended personal purposes during the beta.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, reverse engineer or commercially exploit the Service or its materials except where permitted by applicable law or with our written permission.
Information that you independently provide to KidCenter remains yours, subject to the rights and permissions necessary for us to operate the Service.
14. Feedback
As a beta user, you may be invited to provide feedback about KidCenter.
You agree that we may use feedback you provide to improve the Service, provided that we do not publicly identify you or your child without appropriate permission.
Feedback should not contain unnecessary personal or sensitive information.
15. Service Availability
KidCenter is a beta service and may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues, upgrades, infrastructure failures or other circumstances.
We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free.
16. Changes to the Service
We may modify, add, suspend or remove features from KidCenter at any time during the beta.
We may also change the technology providers, infrastructure or AI models used to operate particular features.
Where a material change affects how personal information is handled, we will seek to provide appropriate information or notice where required.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as KidCenter develops.
The current version and effective date will be made available to users.
Where appropriate, we may ask you to acknowledge material changes before continuing to use the Service.
18. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, KidCenter and its developers are not responsible for decisions made solely on the basis of information provided through the Service.
This includes decisions relating to diagnosis, treatment, medication, emergency care or other medical matters.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
19. No Guarantee of AI Accuracy
AI-generated responses, summaries, classifications, extracted information and suggestions may contain errors.
The fact that KidCenter provides a response does not mean that the underlying information is correct or that a particular medical condition, explanation or course of action applies to your child.
You should use your own judgement and seek professional advice where appropriate.
20. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India.
Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the applicable jurisdiction of the courts of India.
21. Contact
For questions regarding these Terms, the Service, privacy or your information, please contact KidCenter using the contact details provided in the KidCenter Privacy Policy.
